It seems to me that the OP article was nothing more than a pretext to go off about the evils of government programs for the purposes of propaganda.

i have worked with the IHS on 3 Reservations and found that they do a good job for the Indians, who would alck any care..they lower the diabetes rate in Zuni and sometimes are the only therapy avaialble for chemical dependency there...i never worked for the IHS but for the tribes there, so i have no bias in that area ..how about all the other psoters..tell me your direct experiences with IHS?

I have no doubt that they do their best in difficult circumstances.
