Your current status is "out of status" - VWP is good for only 90 days.

But you could write "Visitor - VWP" -- they will see by your paperwork your out of status.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

I want just to add one more question to this topic instead of creating another one:

if I came with one visa type (J1) and changed it into another status a year later (F1), and now I am in F1 status currently. I have never been out of status. What should I write about current status? F1, right? status at the time of admission-J1, right? But do I have to mention that it was changed during my stay in the USA?

It is so confusing, I dont want to cause more problems with my papers.
