Hi everybody -- good news to report and lots to celebrate. Yesterday we opened the mail and had a letter from USCIS. It said that my hubby's conditions removal were approved on 6-5-09 (we filed on 4-1-09). Woo!

I'll post when we actually receive the card. I had read on the USCIS web site that the card production has been delayed 8 weeks due to some new antifraud technology. Does anyone know about this?

Thanks everyone for the warm notes of congratulations. It feels good to have an approval letter finally in our mailbox.

For those of you who are still waiting: hang in there!

For all: thanks so much for the tips on filing and waiting.

For those who wondered what we submitted with our I-751 package, here it is:

1. Cover letter describing the contents of the package and what we were applying for

2. Fees :)

3. Application

4. Bank statements for each year of our marriage (about 3 per year)

5. Car insurance, car loan and car title in both names

6. Health insurance cards

7. Dental and clinic bills in both of our names (we have the same dentist)

8. EOBs from insurance, showing spouse on insurance

9. Life insurance certificates

10. Copies of boarding passes and itineraries of our travel together over the past three years (yes, I actually saved these!!)

11. 401k and pension certificates showing spouse as beneficiary

12. Membership cards to YWCA, Costco, etc

13. Five (5) photographs of us on our vacations, travels, with family members, etc

++++We rent an apartment but don't have a formal lease so we submitted nothing in this regard +++++

+++ The only property we own together is our car so we submitted our title and joint loan ++++
