2 yr Residency Question

Hi guys, am just wondering, once I get my perm residency - after the two year period, what do I get then - is it Citizenship? Do I get a US passport? If not, when do you get this? Thank you!

After 2 years of being approved for LPR status you would apply to remove the conditions on your green card.

At the 3 yr mark you can apply for citizenship.

So I will get the perm residency this year 2009, conditions removed 2011, naturalization in 2012 or 2014?

If you have been married to and living with the same USC at the time to apply for the citizenship then is just 3 years since your "first green card" so if they (Uscis) approve your GC in 2009 you will need to remove conditions in 2011 and then you can apply for USC in 2012.

Yes, it's 3 years from the date of your first GC, so about a year after you get the 10 year GC.
