221G Administrative processing for blue form in Chennai

Our 221G administrative process in over for Chennai, June 09. My goal is that this can aid someone who is going through this same process. My fiancé was interviewed on March 3, 2009 and was given a blue form for administrative processing. The consulate told us 6-8 weeks. On the back of the form usually they consulate will say what information was missing or needed clarification. However, on ours, there was no information missing. On April 2, 2009 Chennai consulate contact my fiancé to send his passport and DS156 form. At that point we were hoping they would issue the visa. So we waited, days, turned into months. We didn’t know what to expect, with no information given. My fiancé wrote several emails to Chennai consulate, which they always replied needed further processing. After 3 months since the interview I decided to write the consulate, asking if the case was still in India, or was it forward to the State Department in the US, and if so I need a tracking number, the consulate finally told me that it was security check. I contact the state department and the nice lady told me that we need to wait. I explained that they were holding my fiancé’s passport for over 2 months. She informed me that if he needs the passport, he can contact the consulate for it. Finally today, June 13, 2009 my fiancé got a package with his visa approval. THANK ALLAH!

I am so glad to see that everything is done now. I am passing through almost the same situation your fiance had. On February 10th, 2009, I had my interview, and everything went well. I was approved for the Officer, and they told me there in Consulate that my visa would be issued in 10 days. 2 weeks after the interview me and my husband called there, and they told us that my case was going through a administrative process, and I would have to wait. We are still waiting. We talked to our congress man, we talked too with the Officer, my husband came here 2 weeks ago, and we went together to the Brazilian Consulate, and talked with Officer. He told us that is a question of time, and we have to wait. My case is still pending waiting for a kind o administrative process. That talk gave us a HUGE HOPE, and your message too, because now we are positive, and thinking and hoping that my visa will gonna be issued SOON!What do you think about our case??
