does it show to your NOA1 what should be the next one to do?does it also show and make you a choice if u want to pursue K3 which then need to file for I-129F or just I-130 to get approve for CR1/IR1? thanks

Hi kaeanna18.

The VJ Guides on the K3 visa process and the CR-1/IR-1 visa process are pretty straightforward. There is a flowchart you can consult so you know what the application steps are. The NOA1 won't tell you what the next step is. They are merely acknowledging the receipt of your petition.

You will also find on this site examples of what the letters look like.

Visit the USCIS website for the latest processing times for I-130.

This was over five years ago, man does time fly by fast. Our attorney sent in the entire package, I-130, I-485's, G-325's, I-693's, etc. Took about two weeks before we got in the NOA, would have to dig it out. But told us, we no longer had to worry about visa's, wife and daughter are here legally with that. We also applied for the EAD's for both, even though the daughter was a minor so she could get a probationary SS card, we sent our application in the latter part of November, the EAD's came in the mail at the end of February, we had our interview in St. Paul in early June, all three of us where their conditional green cards were approved.

Recall our IO was very sweet in that interview, that was a good start for us, but a little bit shocked when I heard about that conditional green card. Our I-751 was lost, got nowhere with the USCIS, Sen. Feingold helped us with that, that was an extremely stressful time for us, but we applied for the N-400, wife at the same St. Paul office got a real b@stard of an IO that time, Sen. Feingold helped us again, but they were extra sweet at her oath ceremony to make up for it.

Yeah, was quite a jouney, we share your stress, but you have to stay on top of it. Bunch of jerks working for ombudsman, don't even waste your time with them as well as calling that USCIS toll free number, just get an idiot that reads the internet for your case status on the net that is always several months or years off. But you have to watch your dates and stay on top of it. Wife's friend in IL was nine months ahead of us, but she finally got her USC a year after my wife. Her senator was Obama, and no where near around IL to help her. That other guy was talking about family values, can't have that if your family is threatened with deportation. And of course, we are all very guilty of fraud, until we prove ourselves innocent.
