I'm going to a job fair thingy at a town not far from here on Monday, so I decided to give my Macy's card a workout today. After trawling the seemingly endless racks of dress pants, I finally homed in on a clearance rack, and found a lovely pair of Calvin Klein slacks (that fit perfectly, btw - 36w 34l) with a MRSP tag of $150. I picked them up for $29.99, plus tax, minus a further discount for using the card to purchase - $27.

I am well chufed with that, let me tell you.

And no, they're not covered in sh*t or anything like that. The bloke at the counter said they rang up at $79, and asked me where I'd got them from. I showed him - he was pwned. Suffice to say that particular rack of pants was re-priced pdq.

I rule. B)

Anyone else picked themself up a deal lately?

I'm drunk off my neighbor's white wine and it cost me nothing but a few hours of witless banter and the agreement to do dinner tomorrow night.

Wow! That's got me licked, Cat, and no mistake.

I'm such a skank. . . . . . .

Oh, and what did you agree to make for dinner, btw?

I went shopping for my neice's 1st birthday and got her 4 outfits for 14.00 at the Osh Kosh outlet.

I also went to Friendly's last week with the kiddies and we spent 16.00 (i had a coupon) all 3 of us got food, soda and ice cream. I'd say that's a bargain.

Gas prices are killing me though, 2.79 a gallon here.

That's pretty impressive, Chuck, but I still think Mrs Cat just has the edge thus far. Until she wakes up feeling like sh*t and remembers she promised to make dinner, that is.

I agree. Mooshing off of others is the ultimate bargain.

In Cambodia, those CK pants costs like 2 bucks. You've been ripped if you thought you paid 29.99 a good deal. Although, it is based on the amount of disposable income. Paying 150 is even more of a rip. It's amazing how these retailers and manufacture exploit the workers in third world countries.

Redbox,

I use every free movie code like 7 times each, pretty good for free movies :D

The point here is to return them before 9pm the next day to avoid late fees

My best bargain is probably VJ.

I think I can cancel my cable TV - who needs to pay $60 for something I never watch?

Got my news & entertainment package right here....

(BTW - I'm with c'master regarding the pants. I never buy clothing that has an original price sticker of $150 or whatever. I'm a Target shopper, primarily).

Me too, usually. I was only in that store at all doing the whole "credit building" thing with the store card.
