What docs do you submit for citizenship? Are they the same for both 3 & 5 yrs?

If you apply under the 3-year-rule, you have to submit more documents because you have to proof the validity of your marriage:

Everything we submitted for the I-751 with updates plus divorce, marriage, and passport information, the latter for trips. Almost elected to wait the extra couple of years, was a huge stack and like we never dealt before with the USCIS, but we wanted to end that relationship so resent that huge stack. Since our ten year card was dragging, sent in our 2007 tax returns, new joint purchases, and some update utility bills and band account statement, did the same thing again for the N-400.

I am sure the USCIS has their reasons for the same old evidence again and again, but haven't figured out why yet. That includes the third set of fingerprints.

Same applies for the 5 yrs?

I just removed my conditions, got approved, Thank you Jesus! However mine was a long wait and so I am kinda burnt out from all the stress that comes with it. So do I need to continue collecting paperwork for the next 2-3 yrs if I choose to wait?

I admire all who have the zeal to pursue continuously but *?@!! I need a break!

Thank you,

Roses.

Well in sports or in the military, those final moments mean the difference between winning or losing or living or dying, so accustomed to making that final effort. Then it's over. Will be reading about the evidence in about nine months for our daughter that turned 18, maybe some else has. It's all int he M-476 manual you have to download and print it out, looked all over for a printed copy over a year ago. Couldn't fine any, 65 pages as I recall, that's a lot of printing.

Is the link.

The link I posted tells you exactly which documents you need and it is not too much to read. ;)

I had filed under Section 319 and provided documents proofing our marriage. But since I had my greencard for almost ten years already, the IO changed my case to Section 316 and said that this is easier because it's less paperwork. So, if you file after five years, you don't have to submit proof of the validity of your marriage. Check out my link, it tells you exactly what you need.
