Since I have the GC am I free to travel everywhere outside United States or I have to worry about getting visas for some european countries? As Romanian citizen I used to need visas to travel in Europe. Any ideas if that's still the case?

Annman,

Being a Permanent Resident of the USA may cut you some slack in some countries, but you are still a Romanian citizen traveling on a Romanian passport.

Here's one web site that may help determine what you need depending on where you want to travel

It will depend on the country. For example travel to Canada or Mexico as an American Resident Alien is not problem. You just show your passprt and visa at the border. Most of Latin and South America are similar. I would recommend writing the embassy of the country you wish to visit. They can tell you more. Officially you ARE still a citizen of Romania travling to a different country. I would bet (although I don't know for sure) that most of Europe will let you in with your US visa.

Joel,

What US visa? He's an LPR, he doesn't have (or need) a US visa.
