Hello Everyone,

I am curious about information regarding the estimated timeline for I-130 petitions. A week ago, it said that our petition could possibly be adjudicated between June 28th – July 20th. Which wouldn’t be too bad, although I do realize this is just an estimate. What I am wondering about is this….

How close was your CR1/IR1 to the estimated time given to you on the VJ timeline?

What exactly is Igor’s list? From what I gather, the list states where you are in place of others doing the same petition. I am number 96 on the CR1/IR1 at the California Service Station. Is this good/bad?

Anyhow, now our timeline says “There are not enough recent approvals in the timeline system to accurately approximate when your I-130 will be approved”…..so now, is this because people haven’t been updating there timelines or what? I’m a bit confused.

Thanks so much!!

Hey there! Ours was not even close. At the time we were approved in April it was saying sometime between June and July. I wouldn't give it too much merit. What I can tell you is that few go longer than 6 months at the CSC at least.

My approval came right in the middle of the window my timeline gave me. It changed a few times but toward the end it was always pretty accurate. My timeline disappeared for a bit too. It'll come back- don't worry.

As for Igor's List, I stopped looking at it. It was too depressing to see how many people were still pending after 10, 11, 12 months. My approval took 7 months so by then the old Igor's list was useless since i'd dropped off of it and the new one was just an unpleasant reminder of how long it had been.
