Preparation work for Packet 3

I'm from the UK and I wondered what kind of stuff can I do in preparation for whenever my packet 3 arrives. We still haven't gotten our NOA2 yet after 5 months tomorrow so I want to reduce the wait after we get it to a bare minimum. What can I do to prepare myself and send the packet back literally a few days after I recieve it.

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Perhaps someone in the UK forum could send you a scanned copy of packet 3, so that you can see exactly what you need to have in advance.

For Jamaica, here's what my SO & I gathered:

I-134, including proof of employment, recept pay stubs, & W2/tax receipts for 2007 & 2008

No-impediment to marriage certificate

Police record

vaccination shots (got most in advance so medical will be shorter)

passport photos

completed medical form

proof of ongoing relationship (call records, more recent passport copy to show 3 trips since filing, pictures of our families together)

Not required, but may be useful once in USA:

Letter of recommendation from employer

High school certificate/diploma

That's all I can remember off the top of my head.

You can download all the forms and fill them out right from this site. You can do it today. I had all the forms for the interview completed before I sent the petition.

And I actually had the NVC number and called the consulate and knew my case was there before I received Packet 3. I actually sent all the Packet 3 documents about a week before I received packet 3 in the mail. And of course I had all the interview papers ready before Packet 4 arrived.

I went to the US Embassy web site for her country (Philippines) and clicked on Non Immigrant Visa. At that page I looked for Fiance Visa and then for Procedures. It gave the link for every stage of the process, including a link to the K1 Visa Package for download and printing. You dont have to wait until they send it to you, you can download and print straight from Embassy web sites.
