OK.....I am sorry to bother you all with this after all the help everyone gave me this week on getting the papers out......my wife ex of 2 years found out that we were engaged and she was coming to the states ....and flipped out (she left him for him being abusive).......he is American and stationed overseas......he is saying that he is going to do harm and is going there ON THE JULY 4TH WEEK END......now we don't know if she should go to the police or what since she is going to have to go get the police papers for the embassy......what are we to do? Any help or advice would be appreciated!!!!! add it here or email it privately...

Ignore the ex, it's all bluster....Your gal should have some male relatives, right?

Did you ever see what happens to a foriegnor when they tangle with a group of filipino males (on the filipino's turf)?

Not a pretty sight. :bonk:

WOW !! We have a bunch of Visa Journey executioners among us. What about knowing both sides of the story before giving any stupid un-informed advice

with the use of violence. There are police officers all over the Philippines that when summoned are able to stop any threat to be carried out. Just for your information ..... The USemb has a 24 hour number you can call if you feel there is an emergency.

Thank you all for your advice sorry i wasnt on here this weekend I am not trolling ........ well after all is said and done Imy family got me the airfare to go out there ....I am leaving on the first (arriving on the second) ....sorry if I said that she is my wife since that is what i consider her at this point just waiting out the K1 process.....for the poster that said that there was a 24 hour #....do you have that available so I can have it while I am out there

also thank you everyone for all the help in my other posts .....and to all who have sent me a private email

anyone seen the op around since this was posted?

if he ever shows up, and his girl knows where he's stationed, i'd suggest a phone call to his commander - and no leave will occur. even better if she has some proof (email, phone recording) of the threat. that will in all likelihood bring about a criminal investigation of him too.

 Agreed. This is the smart way to prevent trouble.

if you think it is serious, rent a body guard for a few days. you will be amazed what a few hundred will buy there!!!

i will be there on the second .....do you know of any agencies?

when you get there you and the missus go to the local police station. tell them the story, there will be several off duty officers that will be willing to help you...

hmmmmmmmm....sounds like a strange and bizarre tale...a nOob tale..but.......

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

This could be a noob tale... big possibility of a troll...

And you trust the police officers in the Philippines to protect your spouse or fiance from harm?..I think not.

WHY DO PEOPLE SAY I AM A TROLL?

LOL I've been on here long enough to know that many people on here automatically assume too much :)

It is supposed to be a place where anyone can ask for legal/friendly advice, but most people end up being accused of being a troll and the rest of the members get to keep their post counts up by labeling everyone a troll.

I am glad someone told you to contact his commanding officer/unit. They will definitely prevent him from being able to leave for a while.

If that gets done, then I wouldn't bother with a body guard unless you want the protection. There's cops/security guards all over the place.

The American Citizens Services Section will be closed

to celebrate the US Independence Day from

Thursday, July 2 at 2:30pm until Friday, July 3.

In case of emergency,

please contact the Embassy telephone operator

at (02) 301-2000 for assistance.

Regular services will resume on Monday, July 6, 2009.

Good Luck and have fun in the Philippines!
