Check for I 751

Morning All,

Just had a couple more boneheaded questions.

1. Can I send a certified check, or does it have to be a regular check.

2. Do I send seperate checks for the biometric and fee's?

Sending stuff off on Saturday, would appreciate any guidance,

1) Regular personal check, USCIS does NOT require certified, save yourself some $$$

2) One check is fine.

You probably mean a cashier's check - if drawn on/from a US bank, you're fine (money order is ok too). (As stated above, one single check is fine.)

The only advantage with sending a personal cheque is that you can obsessively check your bank account online to see when they cash it.

Thanks for the response's. One last silly question;

For the cover letter, I should write it from me (the K-1 spouse) and I assume the check should be from me. In this forums example letter, the letter is from the US citizen. But's its the PR who is applying for changes.

I-751 is being filed jointly, so either person can provide the payment.
