Today one of my idiotic co-workers just came out and said to me "With all the money you're spending,you should at least have somebody better looking than that." :wacko: I just looked at him like,####### ? :wacko:

May 7,2007-USCIS received I-129f
July 24,2007-NOA1 was received
April 21,2008-K-1 visa denied.
June 3,2008-waiver filed at US Consalate in Panama
The interview went well,they told him it will take another 6 months for them to adjudicate the waiver
March 3,2009-US Consulate claims they have no record of our December visit,nor Manuel's interview
March 27,2009-Manuel returned to the consulate for another interrogation(because they forgot about December's interview),and they were really rude !
April 3,2009-US Counsalate asks for more court documents that no longer exist !
June 1,2009-Manuel and I go back to the US consalate AGAIN to give them a letter from the court in Colon along with documents I already gave them last year.I was surprised to see they had two thick files for his case !


June 15,2010-They called Manuel in to take his fingerprints again,still no decision on his case!
June 22,2010-WAIVER APPROVED at 5:00pm
July 19,2010-VISA IN MANUELITO'S HAND at 3:15pm!
July 25,2010-Manuelito arrives at 9:35pm at Logan Intn'l Airport,Boston,MA
August 5,2010-FINALLY MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!!!
August 23,2010-Filed for AOS at the International Institute of RI $1400!
December 23,2010-Work authorization received.
January 12,2011-RFE

Ya I know...my friend just made a comment " I think marriage is stupid, I would never do it" - direct comment on me and doesn't even "get" that long distance could ever work out. I heard things about getting "better." All I have to say is F*** YOU and get the h@ll outta my face.

06-14-2009: NVC letter received in the mail

07-02-2009: Packet 4 received

08-27-2009: Interview - Visa approved!

09-03-2009: visa in hands.

09-20-2009: POE - Miami

09-21-2009: we got married!

06-08-2010: Case transferred to CSC

They think marriage is stupid and that long distance relationships won't work because they aren't capable of truly loving someone. Many people are amazed at how I can handle such a relationship for so long. And the people who ask me that aren't capable of keeping a relationship steady for more than 3 months (and they live 1 mile apart from each other). Do I even need to answer them?

Always gonna be some people in the world like that, thinking they are somehow humorous with those 'witty' ribs...

Not even worth the breath to respond to them. Especially the ones who are normally nice enough, but in this case seem to feel they are entitled to make inconsiderate comments just because your spouse is a foreigner... Like that makes them immune from normal conversation etiquette rules or something. Gheesh. :huh:

I usually just go the route of a deliberate non-reaction, and move forward with the conversation in another direction. Sometimes a brief silence speaks volumes more than the cleverest of retorts. I have a good laugh inside at their expense. ^_^

Reply "with all the money you spend on ... (insert a hobby etc of his here) you think you could at least afford some etiquette lessons OR (if you are feeling rude) some plastic surgery to fix your face"
