Hello! We are looking for some help with the I-131. We are going to fill it out and send it in with my husbands AOS papers. Can anyone tell us how we are supposed to fill it out when we don't know when and how many times my husband will be traveling outside of the US??

In Part 7 do we check One Trip or More Than One Trip?

In Part 3 what do we write? Can we just put Unknown At This Time?

What exactly does Advance Parole Document mean?? Maybe this is a stupid question but is it the same as Application for Travel Document??

Any help would be great!! Thank you!!

It means an advanced approval to "parole" you back into the US. It is a multiple entry document so there is no need to list any particular trip, you can answer unknown. I left it blank.

It is also used for people wiht green cards that will be out of the country for more than 6 months and for them the dates of travel would be more relevent, you are seeking a more or less open ended parole to fill the gap until you get the green card

In Part 7 do we check One Trip or More Than One Trip?

When we filled ours, we put one trip; dont think it really matters cause my wife has taken 2 trips already and it hasn't been an issue.

In Part 3 what do we write? Can we just put Unknown At This Time?

Again, for the dates, we put an imaginary date, and again, it got approved and my wife didn't travel on the dates we put on the application. We just put a date that seemed logical to us; looking back, we were off by 3 months!
