Since it's so close to the 6 months mark try calling NVC and see if they have your case yet. That is what someone suggested that I do. I called them this past Wednesday and asked if they have received my case yet. They didnt have it. I called them again yesterday afternoon spoke to someone and they have it finally and even gave me my NVC case number. Their number is 603-334-0700 and you can give them your USCIS case number. Hope they can give you some good news for the weekend...

K1 Journey:

Filed: 2009-01-12... USCIS Approved: 2009-06-05... 1st Interview/Admin Review: 2009-09-09...2nd Interview/Approved: 2010-01-27

AOS Journey:

Filed: 2010-05-20... Interview: 2010-11-30... Approved: 2010-12-03... Card Rcvd: 2010-12-18...

Whew! Done!.... Well, for the next two years anyway...

The problem with the USCIS system is that everyone tries calling them before the 6 month mark. We all have to wait and are impatient. If I worked for USCIS and I got calls all day from people without real issues, just "I wanna know..." I would limit things too.

OP, I scheduled an infopass appointment for June 4, which was about 3 weeks before I hit the 6 month mark. The lady there put in a service request for me (I didn't even ask her to). She said they have 30 days to respond to that, so I'm glad she put it in before the 6 month mark, so hopefully I'll get approved soon.

Then I found out that my case was assigned to an officer on June 3, which is 2 days after my Senator made an inquiry on my behalf.

So I don't know if they finally got to my case because of time or because of the Senator's request, but either way works for me. I think the service request will be good to keep the officer on top of my case.

It's a tad frustrating that people who filed a few days before me are already interviewing next week. I spent the first 3 months of the process hoping & praying to be one of the ones approved at the beginning of the curve instead of the end, but c'est la vie!

I do wonder if you'll be saying the same thing if almost all of the February filers get approved in June & early July, except you. Then you see 70% of March filers get approved, then 30% of April filers get approved. While you still wait. Not wishing that upon you, but I wonder if it would change your tune about calling.

I understand the 6 month mark. I also understand that USCIS has NO information. Call them and ask them "What is my address?" They will say " I can not see any personal information" They have access to the exact same web interface we see. If it says " Case received and pending" when you look at it. That is what is says when they look at it. Making a move before your allotted time is just impatience. I want my lady here too... But I am following the rules.

we are almost two years into this mess, they dont treat me any different when i call than the person that is just at the six month mark infact they are prolly more rude than they are to them.

calling makes no difference, it dont reach the people that have the real answers to what is going on with ur case, about the only thing it can do is make u feel like u did something and if ur really lucky if u just got approved and it has not hit the government site yet that u log onto u can get the news first hand........at least that has been my experience with this messed up system.

according to Igors list my NOA2 should have been between april 23 and may 15 and of course we are now one month past that date.

it suggests calling uscis but in actuality will that do any good?

or should i wait til the dreaded 6 month time frame is up?

submitted the i-129f on jan 12 and havent heard anything other than my NOA1 on jan 14.

my petition is at csc.

my poor fiance is about to go insane and its getting more difficult convincing her that all is ok and this is just normal.

i dont see any reason they should deny our application, i make enough $ ,have no criminal record and never been married and my fiance has no problems either.

hmmm..........

thanks for any adivce.

No it doesn't help. This is all they will say "Received and Pending and your petition is still within normal processing times"

Timeline complete and up to date! Check it out!

Yes Sara... I am aware of your situation and it is tragic it has taken so long. USCIS must be the devil to you by now. I think one day the system will be better and actually work. Unfortunately it will be after we are all finished with them. Good luck to you Sara

Looks like we are in the same boat here. It's very difficult at this point. I called the USCIS and the NVC, no luck. I just have to wait until our 6 months is up until I can really take action. :(
