I wish you luck with this for sure. I am in a similar boat sans the K-1. We decided to wait to file for it until after she gets here on a tourist visa, we didn't want to muck up the process. She just got the tourist visa and now the last stressor is the POE... which is complete #######... The only time someone should be turned around at the POE (after convincing the embassy to issue the damn visa in the first place) is if the border patrol agent thinks someone is going to blow something up. That should be it. Quit f'n with people! sorry... :)

AKguy, Thanks, I wish you both good luck as well. I really do not think you have to worry about the PoE if you have not filed your petition yet. Janna flew into JFK in May and had no problems at all. They asked her what the purpose of her trip was and she replied "Tourist" and they then sent her along. I hope all goes well for you! And you are right, Boarder control defiantly needs some type of reform and uniformity on their policies regarding this and similar scenarios. I spent about 2 hours looking on the Boarder patrol web site and found questions to answers about transporting plants, firearms, animal seamen (seriously) But nothing on what to do or what to bring if your fiancee is planning a visit to the US. Anyways, I wish you the best of luck.

Hi, I had no problems in POE, I told I'm going to visit my fiance for two months, and that we already applied for K1, I wasn't asked for any proofs of my ties to Poland. It should be all right for her too, immigration officers are humans too, they might understand you miss each other...:)
