AOS May Filer

Hi,

Mine case is AOS from H1B.

I completed my Biometrics today(06/11/2009) for I-485,

I havent received my NOA for I-765 because they rejected it earlier saying incorrect fees, But i replied back with receipts of I-485 and Other receipts of I-130, I- 131,

I dont know why they rejected it saying incorrect fees, As there is no fees fro EAD and AP when you apply together with AOS form.

Now my question is do i have to go for another Biometrics for EAD also after i get NOA for EAD. I am waiting for NOA for EAD .

How much money did you put in for the I-485 package? It should have been $1010 for all.

Yes,

Actually the Total Money i put was:-

$1010:- AOS package

$355:- I-130 on my Wife's name.

Perhaps they meant the first part of the / - "Incorrect" - your EAD application was incorrect?

if you havent get NOA for EAD, I think you will get NOA then BIO letter,

but sounds like you have no idea they will take action for EAD or not.

did you check online status??

This is the receipt notice for EAD ...........

Application Type: I765, APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Current Status: Case Rejected because of Incorrect Fee

On June 1, 2009, we determined that this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION was not properly filed because you submitted incorrect fee. Therefore, we have rejected your case and returned it to you with all supporting materials, along with the fee. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the case with correct fee.

There is no fees for EAD, I donno why i got that notice.

For 1-485, AP and I-130 i got NOA's and completed my biometrics also today.

Something is going with some high school fail Visa officer , that he/she dont understand , that EAD doesnt have any fees if you file it with I-485.

They are good at wasting time .

And all my other forms were received correctly.

Current Status: Case received and pending.

Application Type: I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

Current Status: Case received and pending.

Application Type: I131, APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT

Current Status: Case received and pending.

And i have completed Biometrics today.

I think now in 2-3 weeks AP approval will come,

But there will be drama for EAD I-765.

There is nothing i can do , but we can just send snail mails only with proper reply. May be USCIS will become everything online one day.

I'm sorry for what happened. I'm afraid you might have to go for another appointment for EAD.

My friend had to go for biometrics twice. She got all NOAs, but her Biometrics appointment letter was just for I-485 and didn't include I-765 for some reason. This was simply an error on USCIS side, and she was told that when she went to Biometrics appointment for I-485, she could ask them to enter the data for I-765 as well. However, the people at the local office said that they couldn't do that because the letter didn't have the barcode for I-765. So she had to call USCIS again to ask for another appointment letter for I-765.
