My husband's car is in his name, we will buy another one soon, but is it possible to put the car on both names?

Your name can be added to the car title. When i got here in 2007, my husband had a truck and a honda civic. He added me to both vehicles when i got here. He also bought a mazda protege 2 months ago because I was in a car accident and crashed the honda civic, and again, he added me to the title. You just have to go to your local DMV.

My wife was approved in less than two months as well. It all depends on whether or not you can efficiently establish a bona-fide relationship. The only interview my wife had was at the embassy over two years ago. No interview for AOS and no interview for the ROC.

The key is to send the right docs and the right amount of docs. The sample forms and letters on the website are very helpful in guiding you step-by-step along your journey. You can pick and choose from those samples and send in what evidence best suits your particular situation.

Two things:

Cover letters are a must. Help the officer making his/her decision to make it more quickly and favorably. Sending a cover letter with your package contents listed makes their lives and decision making process that much smoother.

Secondly, and this should go without saying over and over...please fill out your forms correctly. Do not give the officer ANY excuse to send your packet back. It not only wastes money, but a tremendous amount of time in the process.

I guess one more thing...no need to overburden the officer with docs. Just because you send in a mountain of paperwork and garbage, does not mean that you will get a quick approval. It takes time to look through all the stuff you send in regardless.

With that said, this is what we sent in for the ROC:

1. Payment in the amount of $545 (application and biometrics fee)

2. Original I-751

3. Copy of Permanent Resident Card (front and back)

4. Copy of our daughter's birth certificate

5. Copies of 2007 and 2008 Federal form 1040 (first two pages)

6. Copies of three separate utility bills

7. Copy of joint checking account statement

8. Three pictures

9. Two original sworn affidavits of relationship

Best of luck!!
