Hello,

I sent the packet to Illinois, to the PO BOX that the USCIS has there. How do i know that they received it? the postal service verified they delivered it, but is there any way of finding out for sure? Thank you and have a great day.

Well they cashed the check today! What does that mean? What is the next step in this long process?

Did you write a personal check for the petition fees? if so you can see if its cashed and get your receipt number off the back of the check. Your receipt number is your only true way of knowing USCIS has your petition.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

when they cash the check they put the numbers on the back of the check where they sign

those numbers are your case number

get those and check the status online

you can login to your bank account and see the check they cashed

Now you know USCIS has your petition, cause they cashed your check!!

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

Good to know that you check is cashed! I sent my I-130 petition on Jne 2, and I'm still waiting for the check being cashed at my bank.

I just found out right now that the check has been cashed! But when I look at the image of the back of the check, there's nothing on the area where they sign, but there's a 13 digit code (the first three is letter I think) on the bottom left area, I tried that code on USCIS website but it said case's not found ...does it mean i have to wait till I receive the physical NOA1 then?

That would be the case number but they are sometimes off by one digit. Try inputting the number on the back of cheque plus "1". For example if the last number is a "2" try "3". That is what happened to us. Good luck
