hello there,yr noa date is april 4th 2006,my noa date is march 30th 2006,i received my i130 approval,as well as rfe today,u will get yr i130 approval very soon, assume u get is in a week then what is yr next step,i130 or k3,i am confused..pls advise.

I am in teh same situation, and I will continue with both and even when I get a K3 , it is cheaper for my husband to fly back and have his i-130 interview a few months later than go through process of AOS and EAD, pay all that extra money and wait another year or so to get a green card. Now that I moved to Miami , waiting time here for all this is obscene.

That's just my choice though. If my i-130 gets to embassy sooner, K3 will be abandoned anyway.

Good luck!

Eva.

what the , i mean a , what did you say?

for folks who have already got there I130 approval, i would advice to continue with k3 cause that file(I130) takes a while at the consulate. But remember that the FINAL decision is yours to make.

Hi sudhirbathija. If the I-130 is approved first, I'll continue with the K3 as well. It's not clear yet if K3 will still be faster. I'd like to think that IMBRA did not add a great deal of time, but it remains to be seen. As hafiz30 says, it's a personal decision.

Personally, I'd like to have my husband here sooner, even though he would not be eligible to work. There would be more waiting, but at least we'd be waiting together. We understand that the CR-1 (I-130) is more valuable, and the ultimate goal, but it might mean being apart about a year instead of roughly 6 months.

Hey, I'm not getting any younger, and it was never our plan to be celibate during the first year of marriage!

hi,thanks for yr reply,i surely agree with u,k3 is my first option, when in the world my k3 will be approved,i will wait ..cheers.
