Hey!

If I were you, just to be on the safe side, I would go to a Civil Register Office in your country and get the original, legalize it with all the stamps that are required, and properly translated into english. It is always better to be well prepared to avoid unnecesary delays.... Best wishes on your interview!!!

I would also get the original. Unless you can email the consulate and ask if its suficient. If you can get an answer that it is.. print the email out and take it with you ;)

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Are you referring to the Brazilian Police Certificates? If so, my best guess would be that you need the originals, as they contain the stamp of the police official and are also on their letterhead. The Consulate likes to see letterhead, in my experience.

Again, as antoher poster said, you can check with the Consulate, but it's not so hard to get the actual reports. The Civil Police report can be obtained at your local delegacia (it doesn't have to be from the delegacias that are listed on the sheet from the Consualte, as they only list the ones in the capitals). At least in MG, they were both free.
