My advise is to wait for your passport PCCs before sending In the IV package. Without this document you are likely to get an RFE as a few people did a couple of months ago when I was going through the process.

It took my wife three weeks to get her local and passport PCCs.

The passport office states that they require an interview letter, how ever you can show them the original NOA2 for the I-130 approval and the bills that you have received from NVC. That's what my wife showed the people at the Ahmedabad passport office.

Good Luck!!!

Btw...there is a lot of info about the Ahmedabad passport office and the PCC posted in the Asia:South forum.

Yup i also waited to get new PCC again and i stopped and waited untill i got new PCC when i got that so i collected all stuff together and sent to NVC with PCC.

For CR1 IV packet submitting without PCC

Hi All,

I like to have a quick suggestion from you guys, I have all the documents of my wife except the regional PCC.

which means I have:

- DS-230 form(with just signed on 1st page)

- 4 Passport photo

- Marriage Certificate (Orig)

- Birth Cirtificate(Orig with translation)

- Copy of Passport

and missing document is

- Regional PCC

As my wife just received her passport and to get PCC it will take another couple weeks, and if I wait for that I may miss interview schedule in July 2nd week.

My question is:

Can I send in the documents that I have with me and mention on the cover letter that I'll show original PCC at the time of interview or something?

Has anybody done something like this? Is it possible to do like this?

Please Advice... Because I dont want to wait one more month, its already delayed due to passport.

Thanks in Advance.

Hie,

As i understand you are waiting to submit ur DS230, if you have other documents ready pls send your DS-230 to the nvc and do not wait for the PCC from passport office. as nvc just wants the PCC from the local police authority( IF THE PASSPORT IS MORE THEN 6 MONTHS OLD).

see let me explain you. with ds 230 send the original birth cirti of ur wife, mrge cirti, pcc from local police authority, and 2 visa pic of her. thats it. and your case will be completed and then ur wife can carry the PCC from the passport office at the time of interview at mumbai.

Please do not get confused with things..

and as far as the ahmedabad passport clearence is concerned ask ur wife to meet Mr Antani there directly and the issue will be solved.

Yes you can. That is very sane thoughts to allow NVC to flow and not stop; however any documents that you were to send and didnt should be taken to the interview.
