so it means there is no conclusion to this topic.

now i am really confused. i was about to sent ds-230 with only local district pcc only. oh boy.

i have typed ds-230 form then at end i have corrected something black ink? is it ok to do that. i cant not change the page that have been corrected since my wife signature is on same page. any advice? it is ok to correct something on page by black ink eventhough whole form is typed in computer?

Thanks VJ members,

Yes it is definitely ok to make corrections, just use whiteout then put your corrections there.

As I posted earlier, some of the folks that went through NVC in Jan and Feb did receive RFEs for not submitting the Passport PCC as that is an NVC requirement. If NVC has not changed their requirements, I believe your cases will be handled similarly. The one thing you can do to speed up your process is have your spouse get the PCC and then send you a color scan of the PCC, you can submit a color copy of it to NVC and submit the orginal at the time of the interview. (I used this tip for my wife's case, and we were able to just make it in time for an April interview).

If I understand your question clearly, you are asking if u can submit your documents to NVC without the PCC? yes you can. Documents that were requested by nvc and didnt should take it in at the time of interview.

Thank you for one more confirmation.. as my wife's passport arrived on 1st june which is just 2 week old... its tough to get the PCC this quick in India, and specially in Gujarat... I'll definitely send in documents without regional PCC...

desidon,

where do u live in usa?

i am from nj.

actually I am from Lansdale, PA....

Hey, if your pitition gets completed, there are 99.99% chances you will get Interview date in 2nd week of July for sometime in August..

and that is what I am targeting for, If I can be optimistic about my case submitting my ds-230 after 20th of this month and hoping to get interview date in July... you are way ahead of me so if you do not get RFE then you definitely will get Interview date next month.

All the best..

My wife got passport office PCC today. here is the proccess that she went through,

after she obtained distric level PCC, DSP told her to go to collector's office to get his sign on distric PCC. Colletor told her to go to Ganthinagar to get sign from GED (new sachivalay, dont know where is exactly its located in Ganthinagar) office. ones she done that, she went to passport office with below liste documents...

2 passport size photographs

NVC check list (issued for IV bill)

distric level police certificate

she filled out form which was provided by passport office.

whithin week she got the certificate from passport office!!! she gave me surprise todday

alltogether it took 3 weeks to obtain all of the PCCs.

i really didnt understand how the procedure of passport office certificate works.... everybody having different experience at the passport office. some says it works without interview letter and other says u need interview letter. god knows how it is working........
