Hello, I have an important question. Can one travel outside the US after moving to the US after getting their greencard? Can they go for one month or two? Will they lose their greencard, or is it okay to go home and finish moving your stuff to the US and tying up lose ends with your previous job?

Moving this to "Moving to USA" Forum.

YES :yes: Green card allows re-entry to the USA after trips abroad, HOWEVER trips longer than 1 year require a re-entry permit (I-131). And USCIS can also deterine that trips shorter than that can also be considered abandoning residency.

Also trips longer than 6 months will affect when you can apply for citizenship.
