i had my interview last may 19 with my kids,we were told by the consul that everything is ok but i have to submit an additional nbi clerance with the family name of my ex husband on it(i was already declared by the court single).so i was given the dreaded white form and under the what to do next, the third box was checked which says submission of requested additional documents.the next day which is may 20 ,i went back and submit the nbi clearance they requested and was told to wait 7-10 days for my visa.

we waited for two weeks and when we didnt receive any visa ,we called the visa call center and the first time we were told that my case was under review ( imagine my shock,so i said but the white form i got says that its not under review).so we called again and talked to another agent that told us it has left last may 27 for visa printing.so we called again today afetr few days and same thing, its at the visa printing and today its already 3 weeks after the interview ,so we called again, and the answer is its under review,ok how's that.so i finally guessed its under review since if it is approved then it should been with us after 7-10 days after the interview right?

SImply we cant call anyone who can give us the straight answer and its exasperating...

Do u guys have an answer for me?

Hi maitama! We're on the same boat. I submitted my marriage index on June 1st. They said that consul will review again my case. June 5th my husband called USEM and still the lady who answered the phone said that it still with the consul for review and said that it may take 2 weeks to receive the visa. Im also waiting for my daughter's CRBA and US passport. They said also it will only take 2-3 weeks. But still we didn't receive any of these two. *Kinda frustrating*.

I understand your frustration.

Please take a deep breath and relax a bit.

You were not denied, just focus on that.

They have all the papers they wanted so now you just need to wait.

I know how hard that can be.

From what you say everything seems to be progressing, just progressing slow.

Have faith and hold tight, you will be fine.

I was on the same boat before..I waited 3 weeks till they release my visa..I got 221g or white paper for submittion of additional documents..The USEM,didnt give an exact date when they're going to give your visa after submitting the documents or if its a AR..We called USEM twice, and they always told to my fiance to wait 6 weeks...Too bad we can't talk to the consul about the status of visa...

i've read somewhere here before that the "it's under review" phrase is a standard answer by the embassy's call center agent. some people here received their visas way over a month after the interview. so, wait a little bit more. the embassy could just be jammed with too many petitions. :)

ROC mailed to USCIS -- June 10, 2011

ROC approved -- November 1, 2011

finally free of USCIS paperwork!

yeah. on my white paper they checked only "submission of required documents" and submit them to windows 17-20 at immigrant visa unit. That's what I did on June 1st. I submitted personally my marriage to the USEM immigrant unit. Like you, I don't think also that I was on under review. But when I submitted my additional doc the Filipina officer on window 20 she said that CO will review again my case. My husband keep on calling USEM to followup hows my visa going on?... and then again and again...they kept telling to my husband that still with the CO for review. haayyy... :( *sigh*

hi, just wondering.. did you bring a copy of Marriage Index and then they asked for a new copy? Or you didn't bring a copy of Marriage Index at all thus they asked it from you? Coz I submitted a photocopy of my Marriage Index to NVC.

There is no set amount of time for the CO to review your materials after getting the MNL-IV-22 document. I even got different answers when calling the Manila Embassy (Immigrant Visa Unit) | 011-632-301-2000 ext 5184. I found Grace to be better than the other young lady who answered the phone.

You can call every week if it makes you feel better. But, from my experience, it does not make them move any faster.

FYI: The commonly referred to form 221g on VJ is the form stating your visa was denied and is being sent back to the NVC. The MNL-IV-22 form does state the 221g at the top of the form until you present the following dcuments.

Naturalization

3/23/14 - N400 package sent to Phoenix

3/27/14 - N400 package delivered

4/3/14 - NOA1 receipt date

4/4/14 - check cashed

04/29/14 - biometrics date

07/01/14 - interview date

xx/xx/xx - Oath Ceremony

As mentioned earlier by another poster there is no fixed time to release the visas which really depend on the consuls' backlog and the call center agents have a fairly standard answer. I suggest that you ask your petitioner to call the US Embassy's hotline and ask to be connected to the VIsa Services Units. Note that the USEM will only entertain US citizens only.
