I agree it is barbaric. I chose not to have my son circumcised. He is 9 now and just recently even noticed he has something different. I explained to him why I chose not to have it done. I then told him if he wanted to we could have it done now. He said nahhh it's ok. So there you go. And for the guy who said circumcised males have better sensitivity. I have always heard just the opposit.

Regarding the prayer thread. Circumcision happens to be part of my traditional faith. It is accompanied by a mohel's prayers (brachot) and a family celebration and rejoicing at the birth of a healthy baby. Besides,it was an off topic thread which by that point had all sorts of other off-color messages more questionable (imho) than my post. And as I told you, I was not upset that you removed my message. Just wondering why. Still - quite honestly - wondering why.

You have mod powers, you can use them. Don't expect me (or anyone) to always have to agree with your decisions just because you make them. I think the vast majority of the mod decisions here are fine. I don't understand your position on this one.
