heard back from my congressman

We took the advice of people on here and i contacted my congressman, i received a response yesterday in the mail. it says they have sent a request for initial and additional evidence and i should be receiving something in the mail shortly!!! not exactly what i was hoping for but it still feels good to hear something!!

Sorry to get that news at almost 6 months. Hopefully the congressman made a mistake, and really ment that your approval will be in the mail in a few days.

That's the same type of letter I got from one of my Senators last week. That's better than nothing (which is what I got from my congressman). My other Senator called me & said I was in the normal processing window. So getting the letter in the mail seems to be better than some responses.

my congressman first told me that you are already within the normal processing time about last week.... then they gave me a call yesterday and asked for the benificiary name because they were writing a letter to uscis...so i hope everything goes well!!!
