Well, I would like to inform everyone after 555 days exactly, my wife received her visa. :wacko:

she received her visa, but also she received a yellow packet stating that only a customs us official immigration must open this packet.

My question is, what is in that packet? does anyone know?

Brown envelope contains all documents filed to Embassy (Medical, Police certs, etc..), as well as visa petition documents sent from NVC to the consulate.

from Pakistan. Yes it took us approximately 8 months, got a denial of a k1 visa for certain reasons, the I re-applied as a k3 and went through finally, so the k3 took another approximately 7 months.

The records it contains will end up with USCIS and be useful when you apply for the green card, etc., as long as the envelop is unopened. The usual wait for a K-3 is about 7-8 months so you got it on time. Too bad about the rejection of the K-1. Stuff happens!

Dec. 10/04... AOS Interview - APPROVED!!!!! (Passport stamped)

Sept. 9/06... I-751 sent to NSC

May 15/07... 10-Yr. PR Card arrives in the mail

Sept. 13/07... N-400 sent to NSC

Aug. 21/08... Interview - PASSED!!!!

Sept. 2/08... Oath Ceremony

Sept. 5/08... Sent in Voter Registration Card

Sept. 9/08... SSA office to change status to "U.S. citizen"

Oct. 8/08... Applied in person for U.S. Passport

Oct. 22/08... U.S. Passport received

Apr. 6/05... DS-230, Part I faxed to Vancouver Consulate

May 26/05... K-2 Interview - APPROVED!!!!

Sept. 7/05... I-485 & I-131 sent to CLB

Feb. 22/06... AOS Interview - APPROVED!!!!! (Passport NOT stamped)

Dec. 4/07... I-751 sent to NSC

May 23/08... 10-Yr. PR Card arrives in the mail

Mar. 22/11.... N-400 sent to AZ

June 27/11..... Interview - PASSED!!!

July 12/11..... Oath Ceremony

Congrats!!! That was a long journey.... you must be so relieved!!!

Yes, I am very greatful to God, who made it all happen, after many nights of prayers It was extremely difficult to be away for 7-8 months from my wife partly because we are newly weds. I think I was trying to like count the clock backwards or something, i'm not sure if that helped lol. Right now, i'm just anxious to start a new beginning with her. I hope and pray that every good person on VJ and all around the world can be with their loved ones.
