Hey everyone:

Just thought I'd share something with you. I received my NOA2 approval today by calling the NVC. My NOA1 is dated February 3rd. I have been seeing people who applied after me receive their NOA2 notices and I was starting to panic. I went out of town last week and my mom was getting my mail for me. When I got back I asked her whether I received the Notice and she said she "didn't believe so," that she "hopes she didn't throw anything important away." Of course I was freaked out by that.

Today I called USCIS to check on the status of my application. They told me I had not yet been approved. I asked her if she was absolutely sure and she said yes, that I'm not approved as of yet in the system. So I said, well I belong to a Visa service in which many have said that they received their approvals without it being reflected on the USCIS website or in the system when they called to confirm. She said, "well that's true, not every case is reflected online and so I guess it is possible that you could be approved." So she gave me the number to NVC and said, "I doubt you have been approved but when you call them, if you are approved they will have your file. So I called, not really thinking I would here anything contrary to what she said, but after verifying certain details with me, the lady said, well you file should be in Lagos next week. I said, "WHAT?" She said, we received your file today. I said, "Wait, what does that mean . . . has my application been approved." She said, "Yes! We received it today. Let me give you your case number. She also gave me the Embassy number in Lagos. I was in shock. I said, wait, are you sure it's been approved? She said, I am 100% certain.

AMAZING! Absolutely AMAZING. So I will wait one week to receive my NOA2 in the mail. If I don't receive it I will make an info pass to obtain a hard copy.

The point being that it is possible that some of you have indeed been approved. If you haven't received your notice and your time line indicates you should have, I would call NVC at, (603) 334-0700.

Praise be to God! And Good luck to everyone still waiting, and all of us preparing for the interview process.

Dionne
