How To Sign For Children

When a parent signs AOS forms for a minor child who is too young to sign, do they sign the parent's name or the child's name or a combination of both?

The only thing I can find in the instructions is that the parent can sign for the child.

I signed my own name, not the child's name. Just got their GC's on Friday.

I do it this way: My son full name/Mother

My wife signed all the forms for the visa and AOS for our 14 year old as...

(childs name) by (her name) mother of minor child. No problems.

no, I just signed the "applicant's signature" part, that "prepared by" section is for paid preparers I think.
