How likely is an interview for July?

The NVS has approved my wifes paperwork on 5/13, just short of getting the interview for June, due to them not accepting the copy of the Marriage certificate the lawyer had sent. (they wanted a different version) All they could say when I called is that the Embassy in Honduras wasnt delayed from the Earthquake last week, and they are schedualing for July, but that isnt a garantee for an interview in July is it? every thing I read says the interview takes 5 minuets, all this waiting and build up for a process that takes 5 minuets seems a bit silly. anyway, I have been married 4 years now, and we have a 2 year old girl, who has her US passport, I have everything in order as far as I know, just want to have my family here with me and be able to turn the page finally, and start our life. waiting another month would be terrible. Any hopeful words would be nice.

Thanks!

well ..u cant be sure when u will ever get an Interview date

that depends Mainly on how busy the Embassy is ..for instance i see ppl have a case complete just last Friday June 5 , and they called since a while and got an Interview for July ..mine is May 13 case complete ..just called ...and still no Interview assigned ...so it really depends on how busy ur consulate and if theres slots for more Interviews or no ..if theres then u should get a july one ..if not then mostly u get an August one ...lets pray we get this through that week and wnt wait for it more ...

Good Luck and be patience as we are all :)

Hey,

We are doing a K-1 visa, so it's a little different, but the NVC forwarded our case to the embassy sometime in the middle of May. Around a week later I e-mailed the embassy and they said they had received our case and our interview would be June 16th. It was a lot quicker than I thought it would be. If you haven't yet, you should e-mail the embassy and give them your case# that the NVC assigned and ask if they have received your case yet. tggiv@state.gov

that wont work

CR1-IR-1 visas Interview is assigned by NVC not the embassy

K1 is forwarded directly to the embassy which is responsible to gather documents and give an interview date ...

so the embassy wont be helping in his case ..only NVC cant tell him when his Interview ...

just keep caling them ...many of us didnt get the Interview assigned yet including me ...

patience :)

Thank s for the input, When is the cut off for interviews? Friday 6/11? I found a pdf on the embassy's website that shows the apointments for May, http://honduras.usembassy.gov/root/pdfs/schedmay09.pdf and it shows about 200 interviews. the information that would be helpful is knowing how many they have to schedual before us, a website to check the status for NVS would also be nice.

waiting seems to be the only thing I can do. So i wait.

I just found this on the Embassy's website:

6. Scheduling of Immigrant Visa Interview Appointment

1 to 2 months

When the Immigrant Visa Unit receives new cases, appointments are generally given for 1 to 2 months in the future so that the applicant has enough time to gather the documents that are required during the interview (PDF - 161Kb) (medical exam, birth or marriage certificates, evidence of relationship, etc.).

If you believe your case is ready to be scheduled for an interview, please contact the Immigrant Visa Section of the Consulate to set up an interview.

I have a Case number, so that means per the information I have the case has been sent to the Embassy, (Csae number TGG...)

So I will call them tomorrow and see what this means..

As I said, the case is different since mine is K-1. But it is the same embassy and I was just pointing out that Tegucigalpa seems not to be too backed up in terms of interviews.

I called, and there isnt anyone there on Fridays. :( so I will try Monday. It says only between 2:30pm and 4:30pm mon thru thursday. I hope you are right about not being backed up.

Don't call the embassy. NVC will be scheduling your interview and you need to call them. The information you found on the website is out of date and refers to an older system where there was a difference between appointment posts and standard posts. The NVC now schedules all CR/IR-1 appointments. They are open today(Friday) and every weekday (M-F) until 12am. The number is (603)334-0700. Follow the prompts to speak to an operator.

I think you will get the July interview date. My case was completed May 21, and my interview date is July 20. Keep your fingers crossed.

My case was complete 6/11 and I have been told by 4 operators thus far that all the interviews for July have been scheduled, there will NOT be any more scheduled.
