I got the rfe letter for my son's aos who came here under k2.It asked for a new form I 693 and a tst.We included the I 693 form when we filed the aos except he didnt have the tst then.My son had his TST last month and an xray too from the state health department. Is it okay to bring that to the civil surgeon and have him put the result in the form I 693?Will he needs to have another TST and xray from the civil surgeon???

BTw,the rfe letter has a pre addressed envelope on it.Do they really want us to put the sealed envelope from the civil surgeon to that pre addressed envelope that they send?(I dont think it will fit there  )Do you have to send the rfe letter back to them as well???..

Thanks..Just want to make sure i dont make mistake along the process...

-yes, you must include the original RFE letter when returning the evidence. make sure to make a copy for yourself before you send it

-there is no way the sealed medical form envelope will fit in the RFE pre-addrssed envelope. what we did is get a small Priority Mail envelope that has a window in it, and I put the pre-addressed enevlope inside first so the address shows through the window.

-i doubt that the civil surgeon will accept a tst result from another doctor. we took our daughters in to the CS with the tst results from our private doctor, they said they can't accept it and must do it themselves. a tests is pretty cheap about $30-40.

-as far as the medical form... did you have it filled out completely by a civil surgeon to send with AOS, or was only the vaccination section filled out? if vaccinations only, they now want the whole form completed because they may have lost your medical file with results. that's what happened to us, we had to send a fully completed I-693.

Maybe your son needs the TST because there is no proof that he doesn't have TB. If he is very young, then he probably didn't have the x-ray or sputum in the Phils to indicate he is clear of that. Is that right? So now besides what you've already provided they need something clearing him from TB. I guess that gets tricky because the TB section of the I-693 isn't part of the immunization section.

Thanks eric pris and nicknick.

We had our medical in the philippines. My son (12 yrs old) had his tst and xray in the Philippines and was referred to state health department here in US as well after 2 weeks upon arrival here in US.They wanted a tst and an xray here as well, which we did.The I 693 form that we sent only had the vaccination part of it.So i guess they wanted the whole thing on the form I 693.

Once again thank you..

God bless

It sounds like they want the follow up verified and cleared by a Civil Surgeon, which probably means extra money for a whole exam to get one to fill out that part since it's not an immunization. I've heard of several people that were never even told the panel physician wrote to follow up in the US on their medical form, so they were totally surprised by an RFE for another exam. At least you've done the US follow up part already, so maybe can resolve it faster.
