Question to Canucks about EAD?

i dont have my ssn yet cuz i need my EAD. how long does it usually take for me to be approved for my EAD? i know some ppl have said they have been approved on the spot. its been 3 months since my NOA so im so glad something has changed from my status.lol

You won't be approved on the spot. That doesn't happen for any immigrant documents outside of an interview. They are saying EADs run about 90 days for processing. Some run shorter, some run longer. I know when I got my EADs (although this was several years ago) I generally got them about a month after the biometrics. Good luck.

I didn't know that you could apply for an EAD without AOS. That's interesting. I wonder if that is one of the reasons its taking longer? For example my AOS when to Chicago and then it was sent to Missouri. Whereas your EAD was sent to California. So perhaps, it's a different wait time when you do it like that??

aww that really sucks. its been 3 months since i got my NOA and the thought of waiting longer is goin to make me crazy.
