It's 16 days until the interview and it hit me like a ton of bricks last night. I'm so nervous im sick. I can't stop crying, All i can do is pray, cry, puke and freak out.

Every thing I have ever wanted depends on this day inshalla it will be fine but i can't shake the feeling of not knowing. I have no idea how i will react if they say denied or AR. I wish i could question the CO and ask if they understand the impact of the choice they make on the lives of others? My mind is spinning and all i know right now is i need my heart and my soul, my sweet perfect Habibi. Abdalla and i were lucky so far, we never had an RAF, every thing has seemed to happen so fast and not this long drawn out wait is killing me.

How did you guys get threw this? how do you cope? what do i do? I feel like im falling apart :crying:

Honestly, it's best to come to terms now. You probably will have AP. Almost everyone I've seen go through Cairo has been in AP. And, you will most likely be approved. I can't think of a single case where someone going through Cairo has been denied. Yes, there will be a wait, but inshaAllah at the end your sweetie will be here to annoy the crud out of your every day of the week.

Just keep your faith. When I was apart from my husband I had our son and almost died by myself. If I can get through it then honey you can. Just keep your faith and try and keep your relationship with your husband strong. He is under all spectacles right now with the embassy so try and imagine his stress. I haven't heard of too many people being outright denied from EG it's just the long AP process. Maybe yours will go quickly, you never know. I will remember you and keep you in my prayers.

Trying to keep yourself busy will help too!!

The roller coaster ride is horrible while waiting. You start to get your hopes up and then they get dashed, then you get hope again and it makes you crazy. I finally couldn't believe my husband was here until I had him in my arms. Its been six months and we still hug each other close remembering the long wait. Don't get me wrong, life isn't perfect, lol. He still asks a lot of questions and now we moved to another state and still no luck finding work. Things can be frustrating, but if you truly love each other, you can stick it out and have a wonderful marriage. I still thank God that he sent me husband to me. The waiting and frustrations were all worth it (though occasionally your patience runs thin after he is here but its rare for us).

Oh boy, we could have talked yesterday. I still feel a little sick today, although I am better. Just keep God close. We are women and emotional being to begin with and so to add to it, that our loves are away....sigh, well it's no wonder you are feeling this way.

Anyhow, you have made it this far and you will made it to the end until he is here with you. Then there will be a whole new set of things to be emotional over  All will work out, God willing. I understand.

This is good advice. I have never seen anyone come out of Cairo without AP. I guess it happens but I would say RARELY.

Usually it seems to be somewhere around 3 to 6 months, but you never know. It could be less, and it could be a lot more.

I would rather see you be surprised by him getting his visa at the interview, then upset and disappointed that he didn't.

Wishing you the best in getting through this time.

Thank god we have VJ.... only we know what its like to help support the other.

Thanks for the prayers every one going threw immigration, or gone threw it is in mine too.

what a long drawn out mess it is to come to the land of immigrants. I wonder how many law- makers family's would have never made it here if they had to go threw the same as us?

My grandfather was surprised by the mess I went through as he could recall the military actually shipping all the soldiers wives here after the war. There was no major immigration process. In fact, some wives made it to the US before the soldiers did and had to meet the family alone. He couldn't believe all the grief I went through.
