GOOD NEWS EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ON Friday 8/7 I went to the IO in my city. The lady initially told me that it is still early to ask for biometric since it is less than 2 months (I was saying ya right to myself ofcourse) but when she looked in the computer she said that I am scheduled for biometrics on 8/25 so I should expect something in the mail. Sure enough, when I got home there was a letter from USCIS. Remeber, I called the 1-800 number on 7/27. The envelope has 2 papers, the first one was a response to my call. It says that they already sent me a biometric before but I never got one. It also said that I changed my address and they updated it although I got NOA1 to my current address. So I dont know what they are talking about. May be they sent one to my old address. Anyhow, it also has my NOA2 case number and it works when I added it to my portfolio on the USCIS website. The front page is dated on 7/29. The envelped was mailed on 8/4 and recieved on 8/7.

The second paper is the biometric notice.

I have a question for those who got biometrics appointment, for I-485 there were 2 biometric papers but now I only got one only. Is that normal? and what is code 3 biometrics?

I will updated my info on the signature and the timeline for June filers.

MY ADVISE: anyone who has not got biometrics after 1 month, call the 1-800 and if you here nothing after 2 weeks get an info pass.

Thanks for the correction TexaswithLove! I put in all the Service Centers and hope that if I got anything wrong, you all would let me know.

I'm disappointed that you June 22nd date people have not gotten your biometrics yet, even though service requests were made. Is anyone able to do an Infopass, do you think that might get some action going?

We filed officially in June. May was the plan, but when we sent it at first , we missed one of the most important thing, the actual application form.

So it was sent back and received again on June, 4th.

The status of this service request is:

Your case is currently under review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action within 60 days of the date of this letter.

Do you think I will be getting a Bio date soon? Hope so. Just wanted to share this with everyone. Best, 2for2.

Hi Guys,

New member to the group. I filed on June, and I got my NOA on the 8th and did my FP the 7/22. Now my case is kind of particular. I got confused with the GC expiration date, thinking it was in 2010 but in June I realized it expired on 3/24/09. Anyways, I submitted all the documents (including birth cert. of my 1 yr old) by 6/3. I haven't heard anything yet, no rejections or anything. The guy at the immigration office didn't seem to bothered with the idea on my filing late. Everything seems to be going smoothly. Should I say no news, good news?

Now, lets say they reject the application due to late filing. What are my options? can I just refile the whole thing again? My biggest concern is that I would have to leave the contry. I'm finishing my gradute studies and it would be one of the worst possible thing if I had to put a stop to it.

I have not been able to find similar stories with good or bad endings... your comments are more than welcome.

No necessarily a Bio appointment. From the reply, I think you will get a decision about your case and most likely you dont need to go through the bio. By the way, what is your country of origin? when was the last Bio you had?

CassandraPC was super lucky. The norm is more like approval 3-5 months after filing.

ELW... not completely true, if you see the May table of fillers, you will see that the trend in the last months (at least on CSC) is that people are receiving the approval email less than a month (about 23-28 days) after the Biometrics... that means that CSC is taking about just 2 months to approve I-751 cases. So we should see more approvals in the next days for June and the rest of May guys (CSC).

And I hope to receive my approval email from now to anytime next week.
