Check out there for current times. Look into CR1 vs K3, its now running close to the K3 time-wise and you save $$ and get a green card upon arrival.

It depends on the individual case. There is no set time frame for these visa's that you can count on. Generally, the K1 will be approved at the visa service center before a K3, but there are exceptions. From there, it all depends on varying factors. So, you really can't say definitely, from start to finish, if one is quicker than the other. I have a friend whose K1 was approved before my K3 and we are both sending our packet 3's back at the same time (different countries). So we will see how ends up with the visa in hand first! LOL.

I see the choice as K-1 or CR-1. No it is not faster to get someone here than a K-1, but when they arrive with a K-1 you are only half finished and have a big AOS fee to pay and they canno work or travel until AOS or EAD and AP.

If your fiancee does not plan to work or travel until 3-6 months after arriving, then the K-1 is faster, but not cheaper

Quality, speed or price. Choose any TWO.
