Good morning! Got to sleep in until 8 am. A childhood friend is staying for the holiday weekend, so we've had a blast giggling like little girls at a sleepover until 1 am. My husband is also getting along well with her, so yippie

I'm going to make muffins for breakfast now. Yaay for long holiday weekends.

Happy Monday everyone! Wow, today the grass is greener, the sky is bluer, my world is a wonderful place today. Whooohoooo. Last night I slept soooo good. (with a smile on my face) I wanted to say thanks for all your support in the threads and in your pm's. They meant a lot to me. I hope and pray those that are waiting for your visa, feel what I am feeling soon. I know we are lucky to have a good embassy in Algiers. It just amazes me why other embassies are so tuff when they dent have to be.

I hope everyone has a great 4th of July!!!

Today's just kind of blah for me. I'm at work, but 3/4 of the office is out, so it's very slow and laid-back (which I guess is good). We may go to a baseball game tonight. Amed says he still doesn't understand the rules/appeal of baseball, so it may be a good chance to teach him a little (even though baseball is not exactly my favorite sport).

On a different topic, did y'all see France beat Brazil on Saturday in the world cup? There was some cheering going on at my house! Friday's game against Portugal should be terrific!

Tomorrow should involve some swimming, grilling out, and relaxing. 3 of my favorite things! It'll be Amed's first 4th here, so I hope it's a good one for him! We're going to go watch the fireworks somewhere.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Marissa

Today has been spent, faxing, mailing, copying, running around like a dork... Now I can just SIT DOWN. I went to renew my driver's license and of course so did everyone else because a lot of people are off today. AND of course the machine that coughs out the new licenses broke down before I got there. So this tiny room is packed to capacity with hot, sweaty, grumpy people all waiting for the machine to be repaired. With a heat index over 100 degrees today ... well it reminiscent of the Arab League Building in Cairo. WOOT. I'm standing there trying not to giggle because this environment was NOT condusive to really stellar photos and it was cracking me up. I plan to stay up REALLY late and be a bum all day tomorrow and then do the fireworks thingy.

France Suck. There was a lot of Frowns in my house. I don't care who wins as long as France loses.

How come?
