On the last day of my Medical Examination at St. Luke Medical Extension Center (SLMEC), Manila, a personnel hand in me my vaccine form and said; you will have your 2nd dose of varicella 2 months from now (Which I already did in the Philippines) and have your TDAP vaccine in US (No Specific Date). In my POE, an Immigrant Officer gave back my x-ray result in CD form as it is written outside the CD "For submission by the Immigrant to the Local Health Department". Last friday, me and my hubby went to the Local Health Center in Waynesboro, Pa to submit my x-ray result and to have my TDAP vaccine, unfortunately they don't have knowledge about this x-ray result for submission and did not accept my x-ray result, so we went to the hospital for some inquiries. A personnel refer us to another Health Center at Chambersburg. My husband get a hold to one of the personnel in Chambersburg Health Center and the lady on the line said that I will have my HIV test, TB test and VDRL or RPR (I don't know what is VDRL or RPR) before I go to them and submit my x-ray result and have vaccine. I told my husband to tell the lady that I already have my HIV test done in the Philippines but she said I should have it here again. Huh?????????? Anybody here that have same experience or anybody here that have some knowledge about this matter? Pls help.... I don't wanna have that HIV test again, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr so painful...

You don't need to have new tests done in the US. All you need to do is to complete the vaccinations. Not all health units are aware of the immigration process that is done before you arrive in the US. They are acting as if you are going through the immigration process from inside the US, not outside and that is why they said you need these tests. You have already done them so do not need to do them again. As well, some Civil Surgeons seem more interested in making money rather than in doing the job that is necessary and will tell you that you need a new medical when you don't. Go back to the first health unit and get what you need done there. Regarding the x-ray - no one needs it now you are in the US. The written report about the x-ray was included in with your medical results. They were all handed over to USCIS in your sealed brown envelope when you entered the US. Keep the x-ray and when you get a new family doctor here in the US, you can give the x-ray to them for your medical file. They can use it as a 'base-line' for future medicals. Or, if you wish, you can just keep it at home. No one here needs to see it now - it was for your admissions/medical and if you had no problems revealed on the x-ray you don't need it anymore.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Ok thanks, but when can I have my TDAP vaccine? Can I have it now or will have it later when I already do the Removal of conditions? Where to get the cheapest vaccine?

I heard that too to some pinays in the US, they said they did not give the CD to the Health Department and they did not even have the TDAP vaccine. I am just sooooo worried that might affect my stay here, I don't really know. Infact my husband made an appointment already to the family Doctor to have my HIV test, TB test and RPR this friday. I don't know what to do and how to cancel the appointment anymore...

You know what, you better ask USCIS when are u going to do that. We have different entry visa though but i am also now a green card holder. When I filed for AOS and completed my vaccination here, I thought i will need TDap, MMRV, and HPV but with a great surprise, the civil surgeon only gave me one shot of MMR and my vaccination was complete. I think, u should ask the USCIS designated civil surgeon about it. It's too way expensive to do all those vaccinations here unless you can afford them, that would not be a problem then. It's so easy to cancel any appointment with the doctor...call them and tell them that you will postpone it or cancel it...
