Have him bring lots of proof of ties to home - if he owns property, bring the deeds; if he has a job and is using vacation time to visit bring a letter from his employer authorizing him to be away from such and such a date; things like that. The stronger evidence he can provide that he is only a visitor and has ties that need his physical presence back home the easier it will be for him to get a visitor's visa. Good luck

Sara, good luck on the visitor visa! I will be praying and keeping my fingers crossed for you. I have a friend from Kenya who visited while waiting for the K-1 and he created a strong argument that the K-1 was actually a sort of insurance that he would return to his home country. He argued that if he and his fiancee had spent all that time working on the K-1, why would they want to throw it all away when they knew that staying in the U.S. would make for the most hellish AOS ever, etc, etc. I don't know if he just got lucky, but he thought that arguing his case in that way was what did it. Who knows, though, why they allow some people and turn down others, I guess. You guys have obviously been making efforts to enter the country legally, so you might want to try playing that to your advantage. GOOD LUCK!!!!

thank you......u know that really is the argument that he was intending to use......that he has been waiting for two years for k1 and he knows that if he tried to stay that prolly could and would get banned for life and that is not what he wants.

i will pass on what u just told me to him as well, he is very determined, he feels he will get it but i knowing the embassies over seas have real doubts in my mind. i wont tell him that cuz im afraid if i do that it will make him less secure and will lead to a denial just cuz he felt it would not work. thank you for ur prayers

It is amazing how they play with people's lives. They really deserve to be put in your shoes for one day so that they know that there are real people behind those visa petitions and not just a bunch of papers. This kind of power over people's lives should not be put on the hands of just one human being.

I'm really sorry he didn't got the visa. I really am.
