Confused about AOS/EAD

Hey guys!

Need answers about the stuff below to help me with my confusion. I'm about to file for my AOS and EAD.

1. From what I've read on here, filling fees for AOS is $1,010 while EAD is $ 340. So does my husband have to write two checks/separate fees? I'm filing AOS and EAD at the same time.

2. Though it's commonsense, I've saw that you can E-file for EAD that has a faster processing timeline but no E-file option for AOS. Will it be possible to electronically file for EAD while snail mail AOS at the same time?

3. Is there sample of a Cover Letter online for AOS package that I can get an idea on what should be stipulated on there?

Thanks for any of your help

God bless to all!

I'm filing AOS and EAD at the same time.If filing for EAD at same time (or after) AOS, the $1010 fee is all you'll pay. The $340 EAD fee really doesn't apply (there are circumstances/visas where you might go this route, but doing AOS from a K-visa you'll only need to pay the $1010.

2. Though it's commonsense, I've saw that you can E-file for EAD that has a faster processing timeline but no E-file option for AOS. Will it be possible to electronically file for EAD while snail mail AOS at the same time? No

3. Is there sample of a Cover Letter online for AOS package that I can get an idea on what should be stipulated on there? Not really - a cover letter is really just a courtesy and isn't a requirement.

The $1010 AOS fee covers the EAD if it is file concurrently. Write one check for one fee.

2. Though it's commonsense, I've saw that you can E-file for EAD that has a faster processing timeline but no E-file option for AOS. Will it be possible to electronically file for EAD while snail mail AOS at the same time?

If you're applying for EAD with your AOS, it must be sent in the same package, together. E-filing is not an option for you....and with EAD typically being approved w/in 90 days, I'm not sure how much quicker electronic processing can be anyways.

3. Is there sample of a Cover Letter online for AOS package that I can get an idea on what should be stipulated on there? The cover letter is just something standard listing the contets of your package. Think of it sort of like a table of contents, and structure it as such.

Thanks for any of your help

God bless to all!

Even though it's not required but we're preparing a cover letter of the AOS package as a courtesy so who should be the best to sign for this, my husband or me?
