Bad info. The GPS system is only just beginning and is WAY too useful for everyone. It tracks all the perverts in your neighborhood, for example.

The fact that it is useful doesn't mean it will continue to work!

Lots of useful things fail, especially if there's no maintenance plan.

I love my TomTom too. I started with a Magellan but the TomTom is better. The TT has better software and online updates.

1. Challenger Shuttle engineer told the egotistical managers that it was too cold to launch, that the O rings would fail.

2. A bridge just sits there, and doesnt effect the military, big business dollars and millions of consumer products. Very easy to neglect a bridge--no moving parts.

3. If you watched the news, the astronauts just gave the Hubble scope a big upgrade and tune up. Hubblez been chugging along for 18 years now. Just google it and see all the breathtaking pics it sends back

GPS is future oriented and just getting warmed up. The stories from the mainstream media are propaganda pieces meant to scare more funding from Obama and his gang, who have been throwing around billion dollar handouts to just about anyone. Sheesh, maybe you could open a mortgage company and put in a request for some tarp funds.

So relax, and get a GPS unit, so you dont have to ask for directions. Cheers!

we just have the basic Tom tom.. it doesn't name the streets, just says turn right in 200 yards etc... but it does have the street name on the screen....
