Moved from Foreign Embassy to Removal of Conditions.

enfm,

You might want to go back to your local office and bring 2 passport sized photographs and ask for an I-94 to be placed in your expired passport with the extension. They are supposed to be able to do that. All the same, it would be a good idea to get your passport renewed, however, I understand that for some countries that is difficult to do. It is always a good idea to have a valid passport if you are in a foreign country, even as a permanent resident.

You may also wish to get in touch with your Senator's or Representative's office. They often have individuals on staff who work with immigration related cases. You will need to sign a permission statement before they can investigate for you. If you live within reasonable travelling distance of their office you can go to the office to sign. Otherwise, check on line for your Senator or Representative's website - they should have a printable authorization/permission letter on their website that you can sign and either fax to them or send to them through the mail. They should be able to launch an inquiry on your behalf to find out why your I-751 is taking so long and help get it moving again.

Good luck.

hi there,

thank you for your advice i wonder if i can go back tomorrow and they gonna told me again i have to renew again my freaking expired passport before they give me i94. you know what i found out i dont have any consulate here in puerto rico sucks, i call 411 and look up in the internet if they have one NOTHING. i was so shock right here its look like they dont know how to proceed each case. in states its really big different, anyway nothing different i guess!

and i dont know why its look the same thing all over again my case online there's nothing update at all.

anyway about senator or representative or congressman i did that i asked to help me one of congressman here in PR they told me everything. he said i have to wait 45 days what the heck!!! so probably next month the result.

my concern is even though my expired passport in this day they supposed to give me anything infact, they know there's nothing consulate of my country here. i was so depressed just not bec. of my GC not yet arrived just bec. of my passport its too far if can renew it i have to fly just only to renew it. so anyway i think i have to try that one like what you said... thanks a lot

Puerto Rico indeed has no consulates, you have to find which US consulate is the correct one for you. For Brazil that would be Miami. Search at the Embassy website of your country which one would yours be.

Also, please update your timeline so we have more info to help you. :time:
