hello everyone,

I want to know what do i have to send with the form I-864? Is it important to send my marraige certificate, birth certificate, passport copies, and passport size pictures. if it is important then pls let me know coz i dont want to miss anything?

no you would need to submit those docs with the ds230

i-864 is merely financial documents

For the I-864 we sent in 3 years of tax transcripts, a letter from the petitioners employer, and recent pay stubs. We over did it but we also didn't have any problems.

I did the same thing as canadian_wife and had no issue. The only thing is, at interview time, they asked for most recent tax return papers (transcript alone was not enough, I guess). Since we had filed extension for 2008, they asked for copy of 2007 tax returns.

We did the same. ^^

At the interview they requested a copy of the 2008 tax return as our I-864 was submitted prior to filing.

The documents you mention are required for the DS-230, read the guides for more info.
