RFE for I-485

Hi my husband received the letter for additional info and they said they need proof of legal status of the sponsor (me). I was in shock because they have all the papers since the k1 that I am an american citizen. I have a doubt since I didn't have my birth certificate on hand is enough proof of citizenship a copy of my US passport?

Usually a copy of ALL the pages of the U.S. passport is enough.

Nowhere in the AOS guide does it say to send proof of the U.S. citizen's citizenship, did it? I didn't send any proof, so now I'm worried that I'll get an RFE too!

I guess I would send it if you have it. If not a passport should do

Ok, but I'm a little confused about that. The current I-864 instructions state "Proof of U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident status is required for joint and substitute sponsors and for relatives of employment-based immigrants who file this form. Petitioning relatives who have already filed proof of their citizenship or immigration status with Forms I-130, Form I-129F, I-600 and I-600A do not need to submit proof of their status with this form."

I understand this to mean that since we are filing for AOS (and thus have submitted an I-129F or I-130) that we should not have to re-submit proof of citizenship, correct?
