socialism works well in groups that have cultural homogenity. it does not work well in groups that have natural division, or are so big that everybody doesn't kow everybody elses' first name.

It hasn't worked out well on the scale of Israeli kibbutzim, communes of typically a few hundred dedicated families. They've all pretty much given up on their socialist roots and gone for a market based economy.

He is, that's true. However, I think you just have to vote for the MP based on their personal record not on what party they belong to. If people did that, we might get more integrity in our MP's. Having 'safe seats' is just pathetic. We really need to get past voting for someone simply because of their Rosette colour.

Its just a shame that there is nothing to really vote for in the UK. The Tories will undoubtedly get back in - but David Cameron is a tosspot of the highest order.

Our parties in the UK are a complete joke, the recent payment scandal hasn't helped one jot. I'm starting to become more and more less trustworthy of politicians.......they seem so out of touch with the general public of the UK on both sides of the Commons.

Just a tad worrying that the BNP have got their foot in the door so to speak....can't allow them to spread their bile and hate.
