Hey Everyone,

Ok, rather new to all of this and have been reading through LOTS of helpful information. Here is my question then and hopefully I can get some help with this.

I am working on the employment history and am not exactly sure how to fill it out. For the past almost two years, I have been working for a mission organization. I was working in Mexico and later received support to go to Guatemala where I met my future husband. My question is this, how do I record this employment history? I filed all of the support I have received on my taxes as being self-employed as a missionary. My question is this then: Do I fill out the name and address of the employer as myself then? What would be the best way to go about this? I would appreciate any ideas or support. Thank you for your time.

Record all employment as required by the form (5 years).

You can just write "Self-employed" for yourself.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

"Self employed" and dates. You can put your own address or "as above" if it is the same address or just the city and country where you did your work.

I think they only ask for the most recent tax form, not five years. Right?

This is not about taxes. It is the G-325a biographical form, you list where you have lived and worked for the last five years.

Thanks so much for your replies. I had been thinking to do it like that, however, after this, am definitely going to move forward with doing it like this. Another quick question:

- If I have had more than five jobs in the past five years, should I continue the list on another piece of paper?

Thanks so much for your help in all of this.
