Hi My hubby is from Iran and not here yet, hopefully soon. I live in Kingwood (right next to Humble). Phoenicia food store on Westheimer also has a lot of middle eastern foods (including halal meat) and a deli as well. You will have a good time in that store! :-) I was surprised to even find a lot of things from Iran. http://www.phoeniciafoods.com/ You will also find the area along Hillcroft and Voss streets is where a lot of the middle eastern restaurants/shops are. If you like Hookah, they now have it at the restaurant across the street from Phoenicia. 33 different flavors I think the sign says. LOL. There are also a lot of middle eastern/Mediterranean restaurants in Houston too. I particularly like Aladdin restaurant down in the Montrose area. It is at 912 Westheimer. It is small but lots of atmosphere and the food is great. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but don't let that fool you. Let me know if you are looking for anything else.

Still waiting on our transfer request to be finalized.... im excited, nervous, happy and sad! Never lived in Texas before, but always went there to visit grandparents. I know its extremely hot, and I dont like hot weather. Adam loves the hot weather (except when inside the house) Everytime my co workers talk to me about moving I start crying. I've known alot of them 9-12 yrs and they have been my family since I've lived 7 yrs on my own. Its hard to say goodbye to them.

But... we are excited to be near the family, make new friends and meet up with new people. Tentively 7 weeks and counting down. Im unofficially saying my last day with my Walmart here is July 24th.

Tamara where are you living now? Yes it gets hot and humid during the summer, but that is what air conditioning is for! LOL. And the winters are great! Well, I think they are great because I don't like snow. Yes we will all have to get together once you are here and settled in. :-)

Air condition is a great thing! We live right outside of Atlanta. At least we have 4 separate seasons. Texas is only hot, hotter, hottest and hells fire seasons!
