VJ is like a roller coaster there are ups and downs and twists and turns.... but VJ has basically stayed the same..... people come and people go,

there have always been debates and fights and arguements ever since I have been a member...

i don't really think that's very fair, lorelle. i don't think people should complain about OT (VJ) changing while they don't contribute as much anymore.

it's like a catch 22 .... i don't post because it's changed, but maybe it's changed because you don't post.

personally, i would never let someone run me out of where i wanted to be.

Perhaps not fair Monique, but that is how I feel right now and Im entitled to that opinion :P just as everyone is entitled to theirs. Tomorrow, next week, or next month that opinion will more then likely change. I do see and understand both sides of the coin here. Perhaps the stress of the past year has worn me down some right now and I need to recoup  A few more weeks and I will get that chance.

I doubt me not posting in OT quite as much would have that effect lol

Personally, I wouldnt let anyone run me out of here either but we are all different in how we deal with things.

you are the silliness, Aussiewench. :P ... we miss you in here :crying:

Hey all. I am always sorry to see members go and I want to wish them the best. That said, please remember that from time to time message forums can get heated -- you should remember that it is only words and that the things people say here should not be taken to heart. Not only is it just plain mean sometimes when people attack others but VisaJourney actually made it a rule for members to not attack or belittle others.

If you ever want to "ignore" another poster that annoys you then you can not only block their PM's but you can block viewing their posts by adding them to your ignore list here:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...amp;CODE=ignore

While I can not always address every concern I want to let everyone know that I will certainly try and keep the occasional "fire" under control if I can. I am also able to address any possible reported TOS violations (use the report button). I attempt to resolve reported issues asap once I am notified :).

I would again like to remind all members that we are a family and to be supportive and respectful of each other. :)

Thanks and best wishes!

I am an Ewok. I am here to to keep the peace. Please contact me if you have a problem with the site or a complaint regarding a violation of the Terms of Service. For the fastest response please use the 'Contact Us' page to contact me.

I seldom venture out of the Foreign Embassy forum because I avoid the mean people in the other forums. There are a few people I admire though for being nice and patient with the newbies and the rest of us non-experts. They give straight-to-the-point answers without the sarcastics comments.

Some of the few I admire are Yodrak, Aussiewench, mdyoung. Thank you for being nice you guys.

I for one have found so much help and assistance on this site and have enjoyed the "fun" that has also gone on. I have also ignored the threads that have turned nasty as it is always a case of "if you don't like it don't read it

I think Aussie is right in so much as this process does take it out of you and I think that when it is over for many people -they just start a new life and have other things to do that take up so much time.

I do not post on here as much now and have never been one of the "major" contributors but our process is nearly done and we should have the "case complete" in the next couple of weeks, it will remain to be seen once we are in the states as to how often I am able to get on line. As dixie says I too have made many friends on here and will continue to keep in touch with them no matter what.

if people have decided for whatever reason that they no longer wish to be an active member then that is their decision. It is at the end of the day, each to their own.

I for one will always be grateful to this site and also know that there are many people, from when I first joined that do not put in an appearance as they once did, situations alter and people have adjusting to do once they are in the states or they have their partners with them, I feel that it is a natural cycle.

Sukie I hope you will reconsider and stay, if not as frequently as you have in the past, but you have the experience that someone, someday, may be very glad of.

Sorry meant to agree there, Aussie you are the "silly one" wicked sense of humour too  get yourself to Dan, chill out for a while and then get back, fully fit and full of life again

It's quite unfortunate that drama instigated your departure yet you are unable to leave without creating much of the same. If it is indeed true what you post and you are leaving, I'm sure we will soon see that your account and the "long standing member's" account are disabled. Sad to see that you've tried to take the easy way out by posting at almost 11p CST; drop a bomb and then exit stage left.

Announcing invites to your new website is like rubbing a puppy's nose in his wet spot. A woman of your years should be well above that and make a graceful exit. That being said, I'm sure your new environment will be more well suited to your liking because you can control the members.

Dunno what to say really...because many of you newbies just won't get it....but it ain't the same around here no more and the way you all choose to go at each other or others at the slightest provocation is the reason VJ is slipping.

So like another very longstanding VJ'er who has left here today...it's time for me to also say 'Adios'.

To my friends, who know who they are....I wish you the best of everything and if you want to stay in touch PM me. I am going to set up a site for a select few who know how to truly care, advise and support each other. On that site members will be invited, so I guess if you don't get an invite you know your past actions here were not always appreciated!

To the rest of you....shame on you for turning this site into something many of us no longer want to be a part of....great job guys!

I agree that the flaming has been too much, and I try to stay clear of it as much as I can, only speaking when I see a troll.

Sorry to see you go Sarah (F)

Paul and I met on the Bazaar on the 14th January (he joined my progressive rock forum that day)

July 3rd he flew to England to meet me

We fell in love while he drove all over the place coz I cannot read maps (we were supposed to go to Ingleton - but touched Darlington 4 times, Pierce Bridge 6 times, Scotch Corner twice and Bernard Castle twice and we never did make it to Ingleton)

It has been so long and so much has happened in between...

Arrived in Houston on October 29th 2006

Married 17th November 2006

Lost my father 8th January 2007 (all dates are a blur after this)

Conditional Green Card dated 24th October 2007

I-751 posted on 6th August 2009

Received on 7th August 2009 in VT

In my 2 1/2 years on VJ I have considered leaving a few times. But then I think of the coolest people I have meet here. Back in the day,,,,,,Zen, Reba and Darb were 3 of the most supportive members here. When a few of them left, there was no "I'm going, I'm leaving........" they just left and I miss them here. Some left with a mystery unsolved, like 'does sassy have a nose?'.

Sure some of the posts make me angry, but I have learned to click onto another thread. VJ is like a newspaper, if you don't like the story, turn the dayum page.

We are finished with USCIS, but I stay here to offer support to others going thru the process. So if you ever think to leave VJ, follow others lead and just go. Don't make us beg you to stay.

Jackie

Gosh not another one of these threads--seems like every 3 to 6 months someone goes on and on how different VJ is how its changed and not the same anymore. bla, bla, bla--thank god things do change--or we would never get our visa applications to the post office, much less the CSC, NVC etc.
