Mexico's presidential election is too close to call ...

[...]

Pre-election polls had showed Felipe Calderon of the ruling party and Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, the left-wing former mayor of Mexico City, in a virtual tie. Exit polls from Mexico's two main television station and the El Universal newspaper said they could not declare a winner.

[...]

The Federal Electoral Institute was expected to announce official results at around 11 p.m. (0400 GMT on Monday). If it is unable to call a winner, Mexico could face days or weeks of legal wrangling and protests similar to the fight that followed the U.S. presidential election in 2000.

That would spook Mexico's financial markets, which are already nervous about Lopez Obrador's economic policies.

I guess the 20 million absentee ballots from Mexican nationals in the USA will have to be the deciding factor.

Just watched a bit of coverage on this on MSNBC. Apparently, if Calderon is declared the winner, Obrador (did I spell that right?) is going to ask his peepz to take to the streets and turn the country upside down.

And this is good for the country how? Doesn't make much sense to me. Just take it like a man and admit defeat. If that is the case.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

Why would Al Gore want to be President anyway if he feels that the world is going to end soon anyway because of Global Warming. I mean I would not submit an application at a company that was going to close its doors soon.

I can't believe Javier voted for the Obrador guy. What a weirdo. Although, he thinks Calderon is going to be the next Fox.

Javier said he would have voted for Calderon if he had been there. It's hard to say though since he wasn't there he only saw what little coverage they had over here.

Duh, because if he was President global warming would disappear.

After all, we never even heard of global warming before that dark day in January of 2001 when Bush became President. Right?

No? Nevermind then.
